It sounds impressive. Until the interviewer asks,

How did you use them? That's where many candidates struggle.

Knowing an AI tool isn't a skill. Applying it to solve a business problem is.

Hiring managers are not looking for someone who can write prompts. They're looking for someone who can save time, improve accuracy, or make better decisions.

Instead of writing: Experienced with ChatGPT and AI tools.

Show the outcome.

- Built an AI-assisted reporting workflow that reduced report preparation time.

- Used AI to generate SQL queries and validate business logic during dashboard development.

- Automated meeting summaries and action items using Microsoft Copilot.

- Created an AI-powered knowledge base for internal team support.

- Used AI to accelerate documentation, data cleaning, and business analysis.

Notice the difference?

- The first version tells me what you used.

- The second tells me what you achieved.

Recruiters rarely hire software. They hire people who know how to use software to create business value.

Your CV shouldn't read like a list of subscriptions. It should read like a record of problems you've solved.
